That cannot be true. I always studied in portuguese schools and I'm not that ignorant. When he'll start working he will finally recognize how much he learned even if he wasn't aware of it.

Usefull things for him comes under the header of "directly usefull" for him. Take a look at what bev wrote, he talked about his practical experience. any theory is aparently worthless
